This must be the tower that the old lady climed up and scared the keeper.
We have a picture of the tower from the 1920's, but this is an 1898 postcard. The inscription does not mention the wooden tower, just the lighthouse: "the present light was erected in 1857-58. First painted black and white bands in 1891. An important light for transatlantic steamers bound for New York."

My guess would be that the "dot," indicating a hotel out near Coffey Point, is what later became Captain Baldwins home on the cove.
I believe that is the Wireless Station that notified ship owners in NYC far enough in advance to have a sufficient number of longshoremen and dockworkers to meet the ships as they reached the docks.
