Almost anyone who grew up with their families in Saltaire in the late 1950's to the early 1970's had a family portrait done by Dana Walace. The setting was always the same-at the edge of the dunes, with the ocean in the background and dune grass immeadiately in front. We had a family portrait done every few years. For anyone who's interested, I'm the boy on the right next to my mother.Could everyone write one simple essay about something that once happened in Saltaire…that they saw or were a part of…and put it on one big website? Somebody should collect a lot of stories before we all forget. Otherwise it is like a line in “On The Beach” : The history of the war that now would never be written.” -(JO'H)

Chip: that is cool. You are right next to your brother? I thought your brother was an only child.
Brother Chris in the middle, brother Peter on the left.
What a great picture! You guys look so angelic... hahaha. Absolutely adorable.
Hey Jane:
Be sure to come to our photo exchange on Sept 6 and bring all your old pictures too.
