Could everyone write one simple essay about something that once happened in Saltaire…that they saw or were a part of…and put it on one big website? Somebody should collect a lot of stories before we all forget. Otherwise it is like a line in “On The Beach” : The history of the war that now would never be written.” -(JO'H)

Ferry Service to Resume Friday or Saturday??????

Unconfirmed Source:  Tentative plans  for Ferry Service to resume by Friday or Saturday

Quality of source:   Person in a direct position to know.
Reason for "Unconfirmed"   
  • We only have a single source here and the source does not want to be quoted.
  • We do not have  a second source.
  • Information  may not apply  to every FI destination.  
  • Still some uncertainty about Son of Sandy. 
But if information bears out expect service to at least some  F.I. communities between Long Cove and Fire Island Light Fri or Sat. But do not make  any travel plans until somebody confirms "on the record."
