Could everyone write one simple essay about something that once happened in Saltaire…that they saw or were a part of…and put it on one big website? Somebody should collect a lot of stories before we all forget. Otherwise it is like a line in “On The Beach” : The history of the war that now would never be written.” -(JO'H)

Could this photo possibly have been taken in 1950? That would make The Fossil close to 80 years old, and I don't think he's that old.

YES COSMO THE FOSSIL WOULD BE 80 ASSUMING HE WAS 20 YEARS OLD WHEN THE PICTURE WAS TAKEN IN 1950. YOU KNOW SIMPLE FIRST GRADE ADDITION AND SUBTRACTION? IF HOWEVER, HE WAS 10-12 YEARS OLD IN THE PICTURE HE WOULD BE IN HIS EARLY 70's. HE IS A CONTEMPORARY OF PWCIII, MIKE FITGERALD, ALL WHO WERE BORN AROUND 1940. 2010 - 1940 =
70. SEE HOW EASY SIMPLE BASIC MATH IS.

Maybe 1960. I agree, as a fellow fossil, that it is unlikely that Robin is THAT old yet.
