"In the time of your life--live." That time is short and it doesn't return again. It is slipping away while I write this and while you read it, and the monosyllable of the clock is Loss, loss, loss, unless you devote your heart to its opposition (--Tennesse Williams)
Could everyone write one simple essay about something that once happened in Saltaire…that they saw or were a part of…and put it on one big website? Somebody should collect a lot of stories before we all forget. Otherwise it is like a line in “On The Beach” : The history of the war that now would never be written.” -(JO'H)

The Second Sataire Historian, in 1966 with Vilage Attorney
Bertha "Kitty Goggins" and Frank Goggins. Note that they are standing at a Broadway Ocean bike rack and there is nothing between them and the Schlosser house. Things have changed since 1966.

Great shot of the Goggins. I don;t recall Frank very much buyt Kitty was always a friendly face to see as she did her walks around town. Hate to correct Jimmy, but the house in the background is actually the current Schlossor house. The Baum house is behind and blocked from view. Our house is just out of view to the left, and at the time the three houses were the only house on Pacific betwen Lighthouse and the Ocean. Steve Latham.
