Could everyone write one simple essay about something that once happened in Saltaire…that they saw or were a part of…and put it on one big website? Somebody should collect a lot of stories before we all forget. Otherwise it is like a line in “On The Beach” : The history of the war that now would never be written.” -(JO'H)

AN AWESOME BEAUTY BATTTERS THE BEACH



ANN GOLUB REPORTS FROM THE BEACH:
These pictures were taken an hour before high tide on Saturday morning AUGUST 22. . The lifeguards were removing the volleyball post & net
Just came from the beach at high tide tonite and the water is up thru the snow fencing - hopefully this is the worst we will see but tomorrow AM high tide might still be a bit higher - But now wind and no rain - the day was hot & humid

The village also lost much of the new snow fencing as the installers(village employee's - naturally) neglected to nail the fencing to the ground posts!!
