"In the time of your life--live." That time is short and it doesn't return again. It is slipping away while I write this and while you read it, and the monosyllable of the clock is Loss, loss, loss, unless you devote your heart to its opposition (--Tennesse Williams)
Could everyone write one simple essay about something that once happened in Saltaire…that they saw or were a part of…and put it on one big website? Somebody should collect a lot of stories before we all forget. Otherwise it is like a line in “On The Beach” : The history of the war that now would never be written.” -(JO'H)

This should be about 1952 but I don't know who they are although they both belong to Thornton Wilder's "Our Town"...Banta boys or Callahans? Wonder how many remember riding on the bow of the ferry?
Jeff: your year is probably off a little- probably a year or 2 earlier. Of interest is the young man looking at the camera. The other person has not been identified. You will realize who the main guy is when you hear his name, although you might feel that this picture shows a bit of baby fat.
