I ran into the Mckibbin family on Main St in East Hampton today and we talked about Mr. Braynard. My family rented Frank Mina's house on Bay Prom and Surf whch was next door to the Braynard's, the Mckibbins were another 4-5 houses to the south on Surf Walk as well. Everyone had nice things to say about Mr. Braynard and his family. I remember their house well, bright red with white trim.
I rented the Braynard house for July 1987. The Braynards were gracious landords. When we left I left as a gift a ceramic tile with a picture of a tall ship and Frank wrote back a very nice thank you note. It was a beautiful Coffey house with hardwood floors and a nice fireplace. And It had lots of nice nautical images and books and sketches he had drawn of Saltaire scenes.
